Adam Lambert gave a quick interview to radio hosts Jimmy Jam and Kelsey Webb in Los Angeles this week and told them the inspiration behind his hit song 'Whataya Want from Me?'.

"I think it has a really good universal message to it," Adam Lambert told Jimmy and Kelsey.  "It's just about like the emotional journey that you go through when somebody's in your life and you're kind of confused, and you're like: 'wait a minute, i'm not ready to be vulnerable, but don't leave'."

'Whataya Want from Me?' is the second single off of Adam Lambert's debut album 'For Your Entertainment'.  The song, which was co-written by Pink, was intended to show the softer side of rocker Adam Lambert in the wake of his controversial performance at the AMAs.

Adam Lambert might have gone on longer about the history of 'Whataya Want from Me?' but the American Idol phenomenon's radio interview was interrupted by his brother Neil Lambert showed up to surprise Adam for his Los Angeles birthday celebration.
