Video: 1,000 mph car

In theory you could drive this car down the Southeast Expressway from Boston to Quincy in a little over half a minute—-if there was no traffic and the road was perfectly straight. But Project Bloodhound SSC (supersonic car) seeks to break the land speed record (760 mph, Mach 1 at sea level), and do it decisively by hitting 1,000 mph.
