SEMINOLE - Though it’s been nearly three years since the last one, the Tampa Bay music scene is finally gearing up for yet another roast of a local music scene personality. This Sunday, March 9th, KAM-BABS Promotions will present the “Roast of Victor Lima”, live at the Historic Porpoise Pub in Seminole.
Watch as a Dais of musicians show off their comical side by taking turns “roasting” area promoter, Victor Lima, live on stage.
Among others, the Dais will include:
- Jason Jennings (Jon Oliva’s Pain)
- Lee Pons (Cheeky Monkey, Shotgun Junkies, Mad Beach Mafia)
- Wolfe Distorcio (Black Jack Bomber)
- Steve Hernandez (Tampa Bay Sound & Production)
- Woody Woodcasters (Woody & the WoodTones)
- John Barse (Midnight Rush)
The event will mark Wolfe Distorcio's second time sitting on a Dais, as he also sat on the Dais for the "Roast of Keith Wilkins" which took place on September 8th, 2011 at the Wild Indian Saloon in Largo.
The Allen/Travis Duo will kick-off the event with a performance starting at 10:30am. The roasting ceremony will begin at 2:30pm followed by performances from Wayland and Undercover Betty.
The Porpoise Pub is located in Seminole at 8701 Seminole Boulevard. Admission to the show is free. Due to the graphic/sexual language and humor that is normally associated with a “Roast”, it is strongly advised that children do not attend.
The "Roast of Victor Lima" is sponsored by the Tampa Bay Music Scene Historical Society, WPRN 102.1 fm Tampa - "The Party Pirate", Marley Custom Guitars, Shark Alley Records/Entertainment, the St. Petersburg Live Music Bar Scene Examiner Column, KAM Music Publishing, Bay Area Band Source, the Florida Musicians Hall of Fame, the Tampa Bay Music Hall of Fame,
