Victor Gojcaj, Kevin Durand & Jena Malone rumored for 'Catching Fire' casting

Three more actors are rumored to be in the running for various roles in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the upcoming sequel to this year's blockbuster adaptation of the first book in Suzanne Collins' young adult trilogy.

After officials denied that Mia Wasikowska was being considered for the role of District 4 tribute Johanna Mason, EW reports that Sucker Punch actress Jena Malone is now up for the part. The report doesn't say where the information comes from, though EW is typically a more reputable source of casting rumors than most other websites.

Meanwhile, a somewhat less reliable source of casting information, Shockya claims that Unstoppable actor Victor Gojcaj is being considered for the role of Brutus, a tribute from District 2. Supposedly, Lost actor Kevin Durand is also up for the role -- and it's suspected Brutus is also the role that Magic Mike actor Kevin Nash auditioned for.

As usual, Lionsgate is not commenting on ANY casting rumor -- and fans are reminded that casting decisions are not official or finally until they are announced by Lionsgate. For The Hunger Games, casting decisions were released via electronic press releases.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is expected to begin filming later this year, and is slated for release November 22, 2013.
