Who Speaks For Those Who Can't?
Lost in the words of politicians such as President Obama and Mayor Bloomberg for freedom of religion and the right to place a mosque at Ground Zero, are the cries of the family's of the victims who scream out for their loved ones memories.
Do we as a nation possess such short memories that we forget who it was that tried to bring the World Trade Center down in 1993 before finally succeeding in 2001? Whose tolerance for freedom of religion does not extend far beyond their own.
Is the future of the United States doomed by the overwhelming need to prove our tolerance and political correctness to the world? Is this mosque the reason that Mayor Bloomberg worked his way into a third term and the legacy that he seeks? Finally, let's take a step back and wonder how Rudy Giuliani would have reacted to this proposed project.
One does not need to wonder for very long!
