Just one week after her second marriage to Donn Gunvalson came to an end, the "Real Housewives of Orange County" star is speaking out about her first marriage, which was to Michael Wolfsmith, the father of her children.

“[He] was an alcoholic. He abused me verbally. He had many affairs during our marriage,” Gunvalson revealed of Wolfsmith to Star Magazine, via Radar Online, on May 14. “It was a very hard life. I can’t fix his abusive nature and his screaming and his lies…it really gave me the initiative to go out and make a better life for myself, for my children.”

In 1992, Gunvalson filed for divorce against Wolfsmith and embarked on a career in real estate. Now working in insurance and starring on Bravo, Gunvalson has become a huge success, creating her own line of vodka, Vicki's Vodka, and teaming up for a new jewelry line. Despite a second failed marriage, Gunvalson ultimately found love with another man, Brooks Ayers, but Wolfsmith, on the other hand, continued to spiral out of control.

According to Star Magazine, Wolfsmith was "sentenced to jail in 1997 for disorderly conduct and bail jumping; evicted by his landlord; hit with a $14,337 tax lien in 2010 and had a warrant issued for his arrest in 2014 for unpaid child support to his second wife."

From the sound of things, Wolfsmith hasn't been able to get his life together -- even decades after his and Gunvalson's divorce, but luckily, it hasn't affected Michael Jr. and Briana, who grew up with their mother, Gunvalson, and step father, Donn Gunvalson.

“I don’t talk to him,” Michael Jr. said of Wolfsmith. “He’s a loser. He hasn’t been a part of our lives for years.”
