Vick dog training: Eagles QB Michael Vick training new puppy at Pet Smart

Michael Vick dog training? The Eagles QB who was sentenced to prison for running a dogfighting operation back in Dec. of 2007 was recently spotted at a New Jersey Pet Smart participating in dog training classes. Vick seemed to take his punishment seriously and has apparently turned over a new leaf, expressing his sorrow for what he did and saying he is a changed man.

According to the USA Today on Mar. 5, "several tweeters, sent along a few photos of Vick that were taken at a New Jersey PetSmart*, where Vick, his family and a bodyguard have been attending dog training classes for Angel, the Vick family's young Belgian Malinois (a type of Shepherd)."

The tipster says that Vick frequents the store and signed up for a total of six training classes on Monday evenings, with this being the second week.

Vick seems like he sincerely learned his lesson after an 18 month prison sentence and he now just wants to live a normal life and be a regular dad. He released this statement last October about his family getting a new pet.

"I understand the strong emotions by some people about our family's decision to care for a pet," Vick said in a statement. "As a father, it is important to make sure my children develop a healthy relationship with animals. I want to ensure that my children establish a loving bond and treat all of God's creatures with kindness and respect. Our pet is well cared for and loved as a member of our family."

Michael Vick seems to have turned the page from his past mistakes, now the Eagles are hoping he can help them get back into the NFL playoffs in 2013.
