Vice President Joe Biden’s niece was arrested after a scuffle in NYC ended with the 26-year-old striking a police officer. According to MSN on Sept. 18, Caroline Biden was taken out of her Tribeca apparent on an ambulance chair, all bundled up in a white blanket, apparently so you couldn’t see who she was.
No wonder she wanted to keep her identity a secret, her uncle is the Vice President of the U.S. so her arrest was bound to make headlines. Police were called to Biden’s apartment after receiving a call about a dispute.
When police arrived they found that Biden had been fighting with her roommate, but apparently she wouldn’t calm down because she lunged at a police officer next. She then struck another police officer and resisted being handcuffed.
She was taken into custody and arrested on charges of obstructing governmental administration, harassment and resisting arrest. Police would not say what the scuffle was about. She was released and given notice to appear in court on Oct. 24 to face the charges against her. It is not known if Biden has a lawyer as of yet.
