Vhong Navarro case: Rod Cornejo encourages Deniece Cornejo to surrender

In an exclusive report of Saleema Refran, one of the ace reporters of GMA-7, Rod Cornejo, former executive of the network, encouraged his granddaughter Deniece Cornejo to surrender herself to the authorities for her welfare. Said report was published by GMA News this evening, May 3, 2014, and if you are interested, you can visit GMA News for you to know more about Rod's appeal.

Just a few hours after the arrest of Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz in Oras, Eastern Samar, DOJ Sec. Leila De Lima immediately appealed to Deniece Cornejo, Jed Fernandez and Ferdinand Guerrero to surrender themselves to the NBI and let the court decide if they are guilty or not. Unfortunately, the three of them are still at large and doing everything to hide from the authorities.

Are they still willing to face the charges filed by actor-TV host Vhong Navarro like what Atty. Howard Calleja said in an interview with reporters several weeks ago? If you're asking the opinion of Vhong Navarro's supporters, they will tell you that these people do not have any intention to surrender and face the serious illegal detention case issued by Judge Paz Esperanza Cortez of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 271 last week.

Three months after the incident, Vhong Navarro confirmed that he is moving forward and ready to face the reality of life despite the trials and intrigues. He already did a comedy movie titled "Da Possessed" with sexy actress Solenn Heusaff two months after the mauling, and based on the latest box office result, the movie had already reached the Php100M mark.

It was a brilliant move on the part of ABS-CBN because the network let Vhong Navarro to work and enjoy life while he was also doing everything to rebuild himself from the mauling incident that almost shocked the whole nation to a much better person. The manhunt operation of the NBI for the arrest of the other three accused in the serious illegal detention case is still on to give him the justice that he deserves.

His supporters are already tired of waiting, but according to Tony Calvento, they should watch out for his upcoming update on his official Facebook page because the authorities will present another arrested accused to the local media very soon.
