VH1's 'Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta' promises more addictive ratchetness in Season 3

Reality stars are easy to criticize, but shows like VH1's "Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta" are about as addictive to watch as a car crash. You hear the crash. You know it'll be ugly. But you turn your head and look back at it anyway. And Season 3's previews prove LHHATL is still just as ratchet as the last two seasons.

Singer/producer Stevie J may be done cheating with long-time, on-again and off-again girlfriend Mimi, who is the mother of his child. He's now moved on to a marriage with one of the clients he cheated with: Joseline Hernandez. But he still appears to be none too thrilled with leaving Mimi alone, especially when he finds out a sex tape has been released with Mimi and her boyfriend, Nikko, from Season 2.

Although Mimi is not the first reality TV star who had a sex tape, she does appear to be the only one who either leaked or released one in the middle of filming her reality show. Extra fame? By accident? Judging from the crying scene, she expected this sex tape to be for her private collection. From leaked screenshot photos of the DVD, Mimi has quite a bit of confidence in the durability of her bathroom shower rod. And viewers shared their best jokes in the trending topic #MemeShowerRodStrongerThan. The reality star hasn't said much about the DVD on her own Twitter account outside of a woman's lips shushing those who don't pay her bills.

However, from the previews, Stevie J is much more vocal, demanding to know if Nikko released the sex tape out of revenge (and profit). To no one's surprise, a fight breaks out.

Other juicy storylines:

Benzino is in the hospital after being shot by his nephew during a funeral procession. (Click this Associated Press link for details behind the shooting.)

Bambi from "Basketball Wives" appears to be trying to get her rap career going by dipping into every reality show she can. In Season 2 of "Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta," she was getting gifts from rapper Benzino but has now moved on to dating rapper Scrappy.

However, Scrappy may have gotten another woman pregnant. It's unclear how Erica, another cast member and the mother of his child, feels about Scrappy's new child or Bambi, but apparently Bambi is none too thrilled with either of them. And Momma Dee steps in again to fix Scrappy's "love" life.

Kirk Frost is still in denial that his wife Rasheeda is not pregnant with his own child. In Season 2, he was dead serious about believing the pullout trick works. Now he wants a paternity test. Kirk hires a nanny while Rasheeda goes back to rapping, but the nanny is convinced that the couple is co-parenting but not happily married. Rasheeda calls Kirk out for yet another predicament where he appears to be cheating -- without a cabin hot tub involved.

Rapper Waka Flocka joins the cast with his fiancee Tammy Rivera.

The first episode airs on Mon., May 5, at 7 p.m. CT.
