VH1 Reality Show Makes Aspen Residents Gag

A new VH1 reality show, "The Secrets of Aspen" have many Aspen residents up in arms over the crude stereotypes portrayed in the U.S.'s most elite zip code. Comparisons to MTV's hit reality drama, The Jersey Shore, are being made as both shows are stirring up some controversy this season.

You have to read what is says on the show's website... I can't make this stuff up!

"This so-called life is the status quo for Kat, Erin, Laura, Brooke, Star and Shana, who represent a cross-section of modern women in Aspen. Each half-hour episode of this docu-soap follows their quest to find love, pay rent and stay friends during one season in this winter wonderland. These ain't no housewives. Far from it - it's hard enough to find a house, much less hold onto a husband. Drama is guaranteed: from gondola gossip to mansion parties, after-ski drinks to afternoon sex. There's another saying in Aspen that make this point clear: "Every bar you walk into, you're guaranteed to see two people: one person you'd love to f*ck and one person you f*cking hate."

Tune in for yourselves every Sunday night to see spoiled girls and drama queens at their best. There are eight wonderful episodes left in the season.

I, for one, will be watching Desperate Housewives on Sunday night instead. Even "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" sounds better than this.

Watch the trailer and judge for yourselves.

It's times like these when I'm overjoyed that I canceled cable.

This show is completely trash. As a Colorado native and resident, it makes my stomach turn.
