Amy Winehouse was in the hearts of everyone during the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul concert on Monday night. In a special moment that honored the late performer, the Amy Winehouse tribute was a chance to share a moment reflecting on one of the great performers lost in 2011.
Taking the stage the Amy Winehouse tribute started off with the single You Know I’m No Good performed by Sharon Jones, The Dap-Kings and Wanda Jackson. Adding to the moment was the song Back To Black sung by Florence Welch. Reflecting on the music of the entertainer’s life, the opportunity to share in the contributions Winehouse gave to the world was spectacular.
The evening was definitely all about female power. From Any Winehouse to Mary J Blige, the entertainers shared the common bond of being divas and loving the life of music. The fans were privileged to hear some of the best tunes of today as well as the classics.
