Crazy-Sexy-Cool: The TLC story started out as a whisper, a cool concept that would make for an exciting tell-all style movie. After years of working out the details the two surviving members of the group T-BOZ and Chili have been working with VH1 and they narrowed down a cast. Fans will be able to watch the rise of one of the most successful girl groups of all time and witness their journey of highs and lows throughout the 1990’s in this new film.
VH1 will be airing the original biopic film on Monday October 21st. The film will star KeKe Palmer who recently stared in Lifetimes original TV movie “ Abducted: The Carline White Story” and she is one of the character voices in 20th Century Fox animated film “Ice Age Continental Drift. Keke will play the role of (Chili) Rozonda Thomas.
Playing the role of (T-Boz) Tionne Watkins is actress Drew Sidora. Drew has had roles in movies and television from parts in The Game, Girlfriends and Step Up, but this role could be her breakout role and bring this young actress center stage.
Rap artist Lil Mama is going to play the role of (Left Eye) Lisa Lopez. Lil Mama became a household name with her hit song “Lip Gloss” and she gained a successful following on the dance scene as one of the judges on America’s Best Dance Crew.
The girl group TLC who were known for Hip Hop, R&B and Soul music, sky rocketed to the top of the charts with their third album “FANMAIL” which became the group's first album to debut at number one and sold more than 11 million copies worldwide.
