America’s Armed Forces and “America’s Sports Car” will be celebrated at Mid America Motorworks Funfest Sept. 18th through 21st. “Every year we see more Corvettes at Funfest with patriotic or military paint jobs and designs. It’s a privilege to show our Veterans how much their commitment and sacrifice means to all of us,” stated company founder and chief cheerleader Mike Yager. “We are honored to be hosting this tribute to the men and women who served in Vietnam. With one of my own brothers who served at Vietnam, it is a privilege to show him and our other Veterans how much their commitment and sacrifice means.”

All Veterans will receive special promotions at Corvette Funfest, including personalized giveaways, preferred seating at Corvette Funfest venues, the lead in the Thursday Night Fun Run, special presentations honoring members of the military, complimentary Pancake Breakfast Sunday morning and much more. Veterans and Corvette owners with patriotically customized Corvettes will receive special parking in a place of honor on the Corvette Funfest grounds. The weekend will also include special attractions and presentations honoring members of the military, past and present. Visitors will be able to experience as expert seminars, Celebrity Choice Judging, a Fun Run, and Friday Charity Event, as well as plenty of entertainment Sarurday night and more.

In addition, Midwest Veterans, history buffs and military enthusiasts will have the opportunity to pay tribute to those who served in the Vietnam War when The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall® visits Effingham, Il. The wall, which is a 3/5 scale of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D. C. and spans 300 feet when constructed and will be on display on the Funfest grounds. The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is part of the Vietnam and All Veterans in Brevard County, FL. The non-profit group created the monument as a reminder of the sacrifices made during the Vietnam War and to give people throughout the United States an opportunity to see the wall without making a trip to Washington.
