Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel is partnering with Cincinnati State, Xavier University, Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries, and the Hamilton County, Clermont County, and Warren County Veteran Service Offices to provide a financial workshop for Veterans. The Smart Money Choices Workshop will be held Tuesday, July 15 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Cincinnati State Advanced Technology and Learning Center, Point Room, 3520 Central Parkway, Cincinnati, 45223.
The Veterans Smart Money Choices Workshop includes free courses and information on:

• Identity Theft & Fraud Prevention
• Retirement & Estate Planning
• Social Security
Goodwill Industries has been offering services to homeless and jobless veterans for many years and Ohio Valley Goodwill lndustries provides services to more than 700 veterans and homeless individuals.
The office of Veteran Student Affairs at Cincinnati State offers assistance to veterans, their eligible dependents, and selected reservists who wish to initiate, continue, or resume using their Veterans Affairs educational benefits. Cincinnati State's Veterans Upward Bound is a program designed to help you refresh academic skills and give veterans the confidence needed to successfully pursue a college degree or a postsecondary vocational training program. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the VUB programs and services are provided to eligible veterans completely free of charge.
The Xavier University Center for Veterans Affairs offers opportunities for veterans, their dependents and traditional students both undergraduate and graduate classes. Veterans and military students at Xavier find many advantages provided by the Veterans Center, including the Yellow Ribbon Program and other benefits that help further their education.
