PBC School District employees at the Fulton-Holland Educational Services Center (FHESC) have planned a very inspirational program to honor veterans on Veterans Day, November 11. School District employees at FHESC and all other off-site administrative facilities and offices are invited to attend the ceremony. The ceremony will take place on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, at 9:00 a.m. at the flag pole in front of the FHESC building.
An eleventh grade vocal student, Sophia Marquest from Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts under the direction of Arlene Sparks will be performing the National Anthem and two additional patriotic songs.
Acknowledgements and the honoring of veterans who now serve the students, parents, staff, and community as district employees will be done by Superintendent Wayne Gent. Several veterans will share their experiences and talk about the meaning and importance of Veterans Day.
There will also be a Veterans Memory Signature Book (VMSB) available for veterans to sign their names after the event. The VMSB will be used to archive the names of those veterans who work at the FHESC and off-site administrative centers. The VMSB will be located on a table near the west corner entrance of the FHESC.
