To help understand the local significance of Veterans Day in the Providence, Rhode Island area, an inaugural Women Warriors Luncheon will take place at the Quidnesset Country Club to raise operational fund for the Holly Charette House in Johnston, Rhode Island. The Holly Charette house is named in honor of Lance Corporal Holly Charette, the first Rhode Island female killed in Iraq.
 
The luncheon will take place on Veteran’s Day, November 11th at 11:30am. The Quidnesset Country Club, 630 WPRO, and Alex and Ani, are teaming up with Operation Stand Down Rhode Island this Veterans Day to help raise money for homeless woman veterans and their housing.
