Veteran ‘Y&R’ actor Eric Braeden not threatened by anyone in the industry

Eric Braeden has portrayed Victor Newman for 34 years on the CBS daytime drama “The Young and the Restless”. After the abrupt termination of co-star Michael Muhney, Braeden gave an exclusive interview to Radar Online stating that Muhney and he were not on the best of terms. Braeden even referred to having come to “fisticuffs” with Muhney.

A blog post comparing Michael Muhney’s acting ability to Eric Braeden’s was posted on Feb. 5 and on the same day took Braeden took aim via Twitter, calling the blogger and freelance writer “an utterly uniformed B***H!”

The blogger and freelance writer’s post pointed out that Braeden’s former co-star Michael Muhney had co-written and starred in an award-winning movie "Act Your Age". Comparing the two, the blogger commented that Muhney’s acting range was beyond anything that Braeden has attempted in the past. Braeden took offense to the post and told the blogger to “kindly keep UR DRIVEL 2 urself.”

Many fans supported Braeden, but just as many fans were disappointed that yet another “Young and the Restless” cast member spoke out in a negative manner. There have been numerous Twitter and Facebook battles since Muhney's firing and fans have been left feeling as if some cast members have attacked them via social media.
