The New York Football Giants play their final preseason game tonight against the New England Patriots in Foxboro, Mass. Although New York will have the benefit of playing five preseason games by virtue of the fact that they faced the Buffalo Bills in the Hall of Fame Game, the G-men still have many questions to answer.

The Giants trimmed their roster down to 75 players on Tuesday, with few surprises. Perhaps the only minor surprise was that second-year cornerback Charles James II was released. Kicker Brandon McManus, who had a stellar training camp, was bypassed in favor of veteran Josh Brown. McManus was shipped to the Denver Broncos, who need a kicker to replace Matt Prater who will be suspended for the first four games of the season.

It is not surprising when late round rookies or undrafted free agents get cut, but Big Blue has several players who have contributed in previous seasons who are fighting for roster spots.

Let's take a look at these players.
