'Very Vera' Stewart beats Iron Chef in cook-off; gamblers rejoice

Last night, Vera Stewart, owner of Very Vera in Augusta, Georgia, beat Iron Chef Bobby Flay in a carrot-cake showdown that left gamblers across the country giddy with delight.

According to Casino Gambling Web, which bills itself as "The Top Online Casino Gambling News Reporting Organization," the money was on Vera to win:  "It was a wild show that featured some exciting baking moments, but in the end it was Stewart that emerged victorious, and made small time gamblers throughout the country happy."

Surprisingly Augusta's own Mayor Deke Copenhaver, said of Vera's cake, "Great overall carrot flavor. I like the icing although it's a little bit, not quite as southern as what I'm used to."  But the judges nonetheless picked Vera's amazing pastry over Bobby Flay's.

This isn't the first loss for Bobby Flay, having lost also to Joe Barnett of Washington, Georgia for his famous shrimp and grits back in 2009,.  This win for Vera Stewart will certainly open more doors for her outside Augusta where she is already well known for her mouth-watering desserts
