Every year there are special days at the Fort Worth Stock Show in which the show gives back to the community. This year there are more days for each of us to enjoy the Stock Show and Rodeo even more.
On Tuesday, January 28th the Stock Show goes pink. Fifty percent of the day’s rodeo and general admission proceeds will be donated to the Greater Fort Worth Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. Breast cancer survivors will be treated to the Pink Ribbon Roundup Reception and get free general admission and a rodeo ticket to the evening performance. For further information on free admission vouchers and the Pink Ribbon Roundup Reception, visit komengreaterfw.org.
Thursday, January 30th is TCU day! On this day, wear any Texas Christian University gear and receive free general admission to the Stock Show grounds (does not include rodeo performance). On this day the Show is also offering $10 rodeo tickets (a $19 value) with a valid TCU student ID. That rodeo ticket includes general admission to the grounds on that day.
Monday, February 3rd will be Military Appreciation Day. On this special day, all active and retired service members and their immediate families will receive a complimentary day at the Stock Show, including both rodeo performances, courtesy of Denbury Resources. For ticket information, visit fwssr.com.
Wednesday, February 5th will be Cook Children’s Day. One half of rodeo ticket sales for both the 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. rodeo performances will be donated to Cook Children’s in support of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
When the smallest in our community need life-saving advancements, they turn to the NICU at Cook Children’s. This 99 all single room facility includes accommodations for twins, triplets and even quadruplets, and is one of the largest such NICYs in the nation.
