Former "American Idol" star Jennifer Hudson who has in the past year dealt with her fair share of personal tragedy in her own family bravely performed today at Michael Jackson’s Memorial service at the Staples Center in CA.
Hudson sang, "Will You Be There?" accompanied by the MJ Show Company dancers and the Andrae Crouch singers, which Michael recorded back in 1991.
The dance routine was seemingly a bit odd with Hudson, but LA Times reported that they were Michael Jackson’s dancers, so they had to be there. The last verse Hudson’s voice dropped back and allowed Michael’s voice to finish the song.
Our hearts go out to Michael Jackson’s family and friends during this extremely difficult time!
