"Veronica Mars" movie talk has fans in high hopes of seeing their favorite CW pop culture series hit the big screen soon. MSN reported on Wednesday, March 13 that "Veronica Mars" star Kristen Bell, and the show's creator Rob Thomas have launched the Kickstarter page, in hopes of raising $ 2 million in a month's time, which will get Warner Bros, to pick up the cost of marketing if they receive enough fan interest.
Recent reports have indicated that the fans are very interested in seeing the "Veronica Mars" movie come to life. Kristen Bell thanked fans for their support and interest writing on the Kickstarter page,
"I am currently the happiest blonde in a hamster ball the world has ever seen. We have been waiting so long to make this movie dream a movie reality, and it's because of YOUR commitment, YOUR persistence, that we finally have a chance. We just have one more step to go. You have banded together like the sassy little honey badgers you are and made this possibility happen."
The hopeful "Veronica Mars" movie star also added her personal promise saying that "if we hit our goal, we will make the sleuthiest, snarkiest, it's-all-fun-and-games-'til-one-of-you-gets-my-foot-up-your-ass movie we possibly can."
Creator Rob Thomas claims that if the goal is reached, the "Veronica Mars" movie will be shot over the summer and post-production will happen in the fall, with a 2014 release date, and the film's will get digital copies within days of its release.
Kickstarter has also promised "Veronica Mars" movie promoters set visits, premiere tickets, DVDs of the show's first three seasons and video greetings and voice mails from the cast. The bigger your contribution, the bigger the gift prizes according to the site.
To date, the "Veronica Mars" movie project has raised over $400,000 and has more that 5,000 backers, just in a 24 hour period.
Looks as if fans will get their big screened "Veronica Mars" movie soon.
