Verizon provided customer service and new technology that works

On December 16, 2012 Vontisha Fludd, Retail Sales and Business Specialist, at Verizon Wireless located at 6198m Little River Turnpike in Alexandria, Virginia, made an intelligent observation as she explained to her gray haired senior customer the reason it was a good idea to upgrade from the Verizon Wireless flip phone that her customer had carried for 10 years. "You will be be able to send and receive emails. You will be able to download apps that will make your life easier," she said. The pitch for the change had been made before in the past decade without success. Fludd was persistent.

Seniors have done things a certain way for 60, 70, 80, and 90 years. It is hard to get someone to drop anything that has worked well in the past for something new. Yet, a good customer service representative gives the customer reasons for making that change. Fludd did. She pointed out that the flipphone was outdated. "Once you learn how to use the Verizon 4G Samsung Galaxy Smartphone you will wonder why you had not made the change earlier,." she said.

It has been a year since Fludd made her sales presentation. Today the smartphone that she promoted has become indispensable .Everything that Fludd said about the new device was true. The new device made it possible to take photographs, write articles, and to post them online. The small characters were difficult to read; however, writing in a storm is difficult anyway. The fact is letting go of outdated technology to try new technology is the point that Vontisha Fludd made on December 16, 2012. Her point was well taken.

As the proud owner of a Verizon flip phone for 10 years, the present writer had planned to keep the LG flip phone that worked beautifully and did everything that was needed until it was destroyed during Hurricane Sandy. Fludd understood the apprehension that many seniors have about the new technology. “You can master the apps and the new technology,” she said.

Good customer service representatives understand the normal customer resistance to change. Teaching an old professor new tricks made an increase in production and made the coverage of events easier. Fludd was right in her presentation because after one year and 250 articles, all assisted by the new device, the Verizon 4G Samsung Galaxy Stellar Smartphone is better.
