Price: Samsung Galaxy S5 costs $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year activation at Verizon.

Buy One Get One: For a limited time, anyone who buys a Samsung Galaxy S5 at Verizon can get a second one free after a $50 mail-in rebate. The second phone would also have to have a new two-year contract for Verizon service to get this deal.

Samsung Galaxy S5 is water and dust resistant. It offers a fingerprint sensor, following in the footsteps of Apple's iPhone 5s. This phone comes in black or white at Verizon, and it supports the Samsung Galaxy Gear and Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatches.

Display: Samsung Galaxy S5 has a full high definition (HD) 5.1-inch screen with 1920 by 1080 pixels. Compare this to the 5-inch screen on Nokia Lumia and the 4-inch screen on the iPhone 5, 5s and 5c.

Cameras: Samsung Galaxy S5 has a 16 megapixel rear camera along with a full set of editing tools, plus a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera.

Operating system: Samsung Galaxy S5 uses the Android KitKat® 4.4.2 operating system.

Microchip: Samsung Galaxy S5 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon quadcore processor rated at 2.5 gigahertz.

Security features: Quoting from Verizon's press release: "Users can track their devices using GPS, lock/unlock it, remote wipe their data and more. The software also includes a Reactivation Lock option to stop other people from reactivating the device and doing a factory reset."

Samsung's CEO JK Shin introduced the Galaxy S5 on Feb. 24 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (see the slideshow accompanying this article). That same day, Samsung held an event at Samsung Galaxy Studio in New York City to introduce the phone in the U.S.
