Late last week, Verizon began offering the new Galaxy Note Pro, a new tablet from Samsung. The Galaxy Note Pro starts at $849.99 online and in stores. For a limited time, consumers can purchase the Samsung device for $749.99 with a new two-year activation and add the tablet to a MORE Everything plan for an additional $10 per month.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro comes with a 12.2-inch HD display and weighs only 1.7 pounds. This is slightly heavier and bigger than the original iPad. With many tablets going smaller, the larger size on the Galaxy Note Pro is an interesting move from Samsung.
The size, however, might actually be a benefit for the Galaxy Note Pro when it comes to multi-tasking. Samsung is using Multi Window, which lets users view and use up to four compatible apps simultaneously. They have also enabled the S Pen™ to convert handwriting to text; take notes; and use S Finder to quickly search apps, S Notes, contacts, photos, videos, and more.
The Galaxy Note Pro also comes with Samsung Knox security platform, which helps protect the hardware and the applications. The platform offers security and compatibility enhancements for corporate use, such as on-device and SD card encryption, and support for multiple MDM and VPN solutions.
Consumers can also control their TV experience from the Galaxy Note Pro with Samsung WatchON. Consumers can search, discover, explore and access movies and TV shows on demand. It is even possible to start watching on your mobile devices and continue watching on a compatible television.
