Verizon announces shared data plans for businesses

Earlier this week, Verizon announced shared data plans for businesses. The Share Everything Plan for Small Business will be available on January 24. This plan will provide companies up to 25 lines of unlimited minutes, texts, picture and video messages with a shareable data allowance.

Shared data packages are available in 30 GB ($225), 40 GB ($300) and 50 GB ($375) capacities. Data only plans and calling plans with minutes to Canada and Mexico will also be available to business customers who choose this new plan.

New and existing customers can move to these plans and add other devices such as a new 4G LTE smartphone, tablet, Jetpack, laptop, basic/feature phones, Home Phone Connect devices. These devices will be able to use the data as they need within the plan. Also included will be the usage of a mobile hotspot for those devices capable of providing a shared Wi-Fi hotspot.

To help manage the amount of data being used in a given month, Verizon will provide free usage alerts which are sent at 50 percent, 75 percent, 90 percent, and 100 percent of monthly shared data allowance. This will help companies stay within their data allotment for the month.

For companies with more than 25 lines, Verizon Wireless will offer shareable data packages and plans that are compatible with their existing Nationwide for Business Talk and Talk & Text share plans. This will provide customizable voice and data allowances with each line contributing minutes and data that can be used by all lines and devices, with no limit on the number of devices.
