Verizon announces new prepaid smartphone options

Today, February 1, Verizon announced new prepaid plans for smartphones. One plan provides unlimited talk, unlimited texts, and 500 MB of data for $60 a month. Another plan provides offers customers 2 GB of data in addition to unlimited talk and texts for $70 a month.

Customers do not need to purchase a new smartphone to take advantage of these new prepaid plans. Many older Android, Blackberry, and iOS devices can be used with no annual contract attached.

Smartphones are becoming more mainstream these days. With many great apps, enhanced texting experiences, and the ability to look up information on a web browser, customers will be able to take advantage of the technology without committing to longer-term contracts or purchasing new equipment.

This option is also a good alternative for those who have gotten rid of their home phone and still need to communicate with their friends, family, and business associates.

While many smartphones are included, they must also be compatible with the Verizon network. Visit Verizon’s website or stop by your local Verizon store for more information.
