Verizon announces BlackBerry Z10 sales to begin in March

Today, March 13, Verizon announced that the BlackBerry Z10 will be available for pre-order starting March 14 on www.verizonwireless.com/blackberryz10. The new smartphone will be available online and in Verizon Wireless stores starting March 28.

Verizon customers will be able to choose from two color models, Black or White, with White being a Verizon Wireless exclusive. While AT&T seems to be getting the device sooner, Verizon will offer an additional color. Interesting trade-off for this new business device.

The BlackBerry Z10 is a long-awaited device especially for those in a corporate environment. The Z10 will feature an all-touch keyboard, which is different from the physical keyboard of the traditional Blackberries. The BlackBerry Z10 also features a high-resolution 4.2-inch display and an 8-megapixel camera that records 1080p HD video.

BlackBerry Hub is one of the new features on the device. This part of the Z10 experience will help organize the incoming messages, so users can view and participate in conversations as they happen. Users will be able to use simple finger gestures on the screen to maintain the flow of conversations at a glance rather than opening up the entire Hub.

Another feature of the phone is its ability to separate personal and business information and data. Personal apps and data are kept separately. This will allow users to easily switch the phone’s persona to either business or personal.

If you are on Verizon and a BlackBerry fan, stop by a local Verizon store or visit them online to order a new deivce.
