Vergara surrogate baby: 'Modern Family' actress expecting?

Vergara surrogate baby has been a trending topic for two days now. Sofia Vergara has reportedly asked a friend to be her surrogate -- to carry her second child -- a baby with fiance, Nick Loeb. On March 8, the New York Post reported that the "Modern Family" actress is in the "extremely early stages" of having a child together.

"The child will be biologically Sofia and Nick’s baby, and she has selected a surrogate — who is a very close girlfriend — to carry the baby. A procedure has taken place, and Sofia and Nick will find out in a few weeks if it was successful, if the surrogate is pregnant, and if they will become parents," a source revealed.

Vergara's surrogate baby will be similar to what Giuliana and Bill Rancic did. The surrogate mother will actually be a gestational carrier. This means that the baby, as stated above, will actually have Sofia and Nick's biological make-up. The couple may be choosing to do this because Sofia doesn't want to worry about gaining weight and/or she can't be pregnant while filming "Modern Family." She may also have fears about how her body will handle a pregnancy at her age.

Vergara and Nick Loeb did break up for a period of time last year but they got back together just in time for Sofia's 40th birthday and Nick just happened to bring a big ring to the occasion. It is unknown if they plan to get married before having a baby together.

Do you think the Vergara surrogate baby story is true?
