Iowa State University's annual VEISHEA celebration is scheduled for April 15 - 20. The celebration is held each spring and is one of the University's oldest traditions. VEISHEA is a showcase of the ISU community, and it is always packed with both educational and entertaining activities.
Earlier this week, the VEISHEA committee announced the musical acts for this year's "Live at VEISHEA" music event. The "Live at VEISHEA" event will be held in the Molecular Biology parking lot from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20. The event is open to ISU students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Tickets for students, faculty, and staff are available through MidwesTix, and they are $15 for a single night or $20 for both nights. Alumni wishing to purchase tickets should contact Beth Lott at the ISU alumni office via email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Here is a look at the "Live at VEISHEA" performers:

Saturday, April 20
B.o.B. (hip hop)
Grouplove (indie rock)
The Cab (pop/punk)
Jukebox the Ghost (piano pop)

"Live at VEISHEA" is not the only entertainment that will take place during the VEISHEA celebration. The Maintenance Shop will host MuSE (Music Showcase Extravaganza) on April 17. MuSE is a showcase of talented Iowa bands that are selected by the VEISHEA Concerts Committee. Bands wishing to participate in MuSE must apply online by March 1. Up to six bands will be selected for this spotlight event.
VEISHEA will also feature Cyclone Idol (hosted by Lee DeWyze), a student stand-up comedy competition, a production of "Fiddler on the Roof", performances by hypnotist Brian Imbus and Steve "Regurgitator" Starr, and much more. To find out more information about VEISHEA, go to their website.
