Vegetarian Friendly Restaurants in the West Valley, Phoenix

Here is a restaurant guide for all the vegetarians in the west valley! This is a recap of all of my restaurant reviews; and their menu items that are or can be vegetarian. Tailgators Sports Bar and Grill has a variety of different vegetables to choose from to top their delicious pizza. They also have a turkey/avocado wrap; you can request to leave off the turkey and the cook will gladly add any other vegetables your heart desires. Dino's Greek and Italian Grill has plenty of different pasta dishes to choose from. Ask Peter or Alexandra and they will customize it to fit all your vegetable dreams. In the mood for Greek try Spanakopita; a spinach, egg, and feta mixture wrapped in filo dough. Grimaldi's and DiCarlos Pizza also have a wide variety of vegetable choices to top your pizza with. Grimaldi's also has a variety of meatless salads to choose from. At the Blu Burger Grille you can choose a portabella mushroom or a veggie burger to be substituted with any of the many burger toppings, cheeses, buns, and condiments. If you want something lighter try a caprese salad. Islands Fine Burgers and Drinks also has a veggie burger that can be substituted with any of their burger menu choices. Not in the mood for a "burger" try their no-blame veggie tacos. Paradise Bakery and Cafe has a Mediterranean Veggie sandwich, pasta, salads, and soups all sans the meat. Their menu also indicates strictly vegetarian items. Carlo O'Briens has the standard vegetarian fare; the bean burrito (lard free) and you can spice it up with their red enchilada sauce or the jalapeno cream cheese sauce. Another option for the vegetarian is the cheese enchiladas. Ready to carb-load? The Saddle Ranch Chophouse makes a jalapeno mac-n-cheese that is sinful. The portion size is enough to feed a family of four and comes with four slices of garlic bread. Get ready for a nap after this meal! They also offer a veggie burger, but beware it is a black bean burger (which this vegetarian is not particularly fond of). T.J's Homestyle Restaurant has plenty of breakfast items to choose from that are vegetarian, but you can never go wrong with one of their homemade baked goods. Yard House is a place I will be reviewing soon but I wanted to let the vegetarians know they have a full column of entrees made with Gardein™ (meatless chicken or beef)! Other options included their Shiitake Garlic Noodles or their Hongos Y Rajas street tacos which is a soft shell filled with shiitake mushrooms, roasted pasilla peppers, grilled onions, a lemon sriracha aïoli, jack, feta, avocado and red chili threads. Watch it this taco has a kick of spice to it! Yard House has many other vegetarian options and the menu is marked with a "V" for your convenience. I hope this article is helpful in finding a restaurant to cater to all your vegetarian needs. And remember most restaurants are more then happy to make meatless substitutions to most menu items. Be sure and treat your wait staff well and tip them even better.
