a BLT made with imaginary bacon
In honor of national sandwich day, here is a vegetarian version of the classic BLT (bacon, lettuce, and tomato) sandwich.
For each sandwich, you will need:
- 2 slices of your favorite bread. (Try Private Selection Golden Flax and Grain from Kroger.)
- 2 or 3 slices of tomato
- 3 or 4 slices of your favorite imaginary bacon
- 2 or 3 lettuce leaves
- Mayo,if you like it, or smooshed ripe avocado for an extra special treat
- Toast the bread.
- Spread with mayo, if using, or smooshed avocado.
- Add imaginary bacon, lettuce and tomato.
- Assemble and enjoy. Delicious!
