Three people are dead and at least three have been injured after a shooting and car crash on the Las Vegas strip, according to Feb. 21 KLAS-TV Channel 8 News report.
The shooting and multi-car crash reportedly took place on Las Vegas Boulevard near Flamingo Road. Metro police say the shooting happened on the Vegas strip in front of Bally’s Hotel and Casino early Thursday morning, setting off a multi-car crash involving six vehicles.
According to Metro Sgt. John Sheahan, the police are searching for suspects in a “black Range Rover with tinted windows and dark rims.” He added that the individuals in the Range Rover shot at people in a Maserati and the Maserati car driver was shot and killed in the gunfire. The Maserati then crashed into a taxi, causing it to burst into flames and explode killing both the driver and passenger.
“There was a loud bang and I hear two other booms. I looked out my window at Caesars Palace ... and could see the fireball,” said witness John Lamb.
The Las Vegas Strip is currently closed to pedestrians near the crash scene.
