Vegas Rocks Cafe holds a preview and special food tasting for guests and members of the media.

On December 5th entertainer and TV host Tony Sacca and chef Josette LeBlond invited guests and members of the media to a preview party and food tasting at Las Vegas Rocks Cafe. The newest dining and entertainment venue in the downtown area is a dream come true for Sacca. The cafe is named after the song 'Las Vegas Rocks' that Tony composed for the 20th anniversary of his TV show 'Entertainment Las Vegas Style'. Sacca's girlfriend and business partner Josette was owner and chef of Josette's Bistro and Normandie Bakery which featured fine French dining and bakery goods as well as great entertainment. It is only fitting that these two have put their talents together to create what will prove to be a Las Vegas favorite.

Throughout the 20,000 sq ft property are vintage photos of old Vegas and video footage of entertainment icons that graced Tony's TV show over the years. There are also video clips from Josette's TV cooking show 'La Cuisine'.

Artist Terry Ritter, well known for her Las Vegas themed paintings, has adorned the cafe walls with several of her beautiful paintings of showgirls. The venue is divided into several areas: the dining room and bar, the Marquee Room for open mic night and happy hour; The Rocks Shop featuring souvenirs for sale and the Las Vegas Rocks Showroom which will feature headline performers.

The Vintage Vegas theme is also present in the names of menu items which were sampled. The tasting started out with a salad called 'The Principle Dancer' because it is the type of light fare a showgirl would eat to keep her figure, followed by 'Casino Chip Nachos' which can be ordered with chicken or beef added, served with Guacamole, Pico De Gallo Salsa and Sour Cream. Next came 'Charo's Chili' served in a sourdough bread bowl. Following that was the 'Vegas Veggie Burgers' a special homemade recipe veggie burger served with 'Frank's Fries' made from sweet potatoes. We were then treated to 'Louis Primavera Pasta', a light dish with mixed veggies, tomato and fresh basil, penne pasta and optional chicken added. And to top the afternoon was 'Craps Suzette', unique crepe sauteed with orange juice and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Other items on the menu include 'Newton's Nuggets', 'Rat Pack Anitpasto', 'The Topless Dancer', 'Chicken Jubilee', Liberace's Linguini', 'The Lance Burton' and many more. Even the drink menu features some theme items like 'Rita Rudner's Margarita' and the 'Dean Martini'.

Tony Sacca's long history in the entertainment business has garnered him the title of 'The Entertainment Ambassador' of Las Vegas and recently was a recipient of a star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. You can bet on seeing some of Las Vegas best entertainment making their way to the Marquee Room to perform at the Las Vegas Rocks Cafe. Announced today was an upcoming performance of famed "America's Got Talent' winner and Las Vegas headliner Terry Fator and a New Years Eve performance by singer Lena Prima who attended the preview sang a wonderful duet with Tony. Comedian Norm Crosby is scheduled for a January 30 appearance.
