Singer Pink, who recently showed off her stunning 60-pound weight loss, is a huge fan of reality cooking competition "Top Chef" who enjoys preparing healthy vegetarian dishes for her family.
"My go-to carbs are couscous and quinoa, and brown rice," Pink told the November 2012 issue of Shape. "We also have a big garden. That’s where I get the arugula for my yummy salad, which I make with sautéed asparagus, halloumi cheese, and lemon juice and truffle oil.”
The three-time Grammy winner follows a mostly vegan diet, but occasionally eats chicken and fish. “Though we eat mostly vegetarian, I do like chicken and grilled salmon," says Pink, who's married to motocross racer Carey Hart, 37.
Pink shed 55 pounds of baby weight several months after giving birth to daughter Willow Sage in June 2011 by doing cardio workouts, martial arts, yoga, running or hiking for 60-90 minutes five to six days a week.
While she's devoted to a healthy lifestyle these days, the singer reveals she abused drugs as a youth and nearly overdosed when she was 15 year old after "dabbling" with ecstasy, crystal meth and acid.
"It wasn't to the point of going to the hospital, but I remember getting up off the floor in the morning, and that was the last time I ever touched a drug again," she says.
"It was also the day a DJ offered to let me sing on hip-hop night. His only caveat was that I couldn't do drugs, so I didn't. That's the thing with me--once I make up my mind, I'm done."
In addition to eating well, Pink is a workout fanatic. "I like results," she said. "I like feeling strong. It keeps my mental floor higher. Even if it’s a pain in the *ss and you hate working out, the endorphins help."
