An all-north American classic!
- 3 c vital wheat gluten flour
- 1 c whole wheat flour
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chipotle powder
- 1/3 c extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 c bragg liquid aminos, tamari or soy sauce
- 1/3 c bbq sauce 1 tbsp liquid smoke
- 1 c vegetable broth
- 6 bamboo chopsticks
- 1 c extra bbq sauce (for baking and basting)
Preheat oven to 350F.
In a large mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients.
In a separate bowl, mix together wet ingredients.
Combine the two and knead for 5 minutes; then let rest for 20 minutes.
Shape mixture into large rectangle, about 5x10”.
Insert bamboo at equal distances from eachother throughout.
Pour ½ c bbq sauce into the bottom of a baking pan; place ribs into pan.
Spread the other ½ c of bbq sauce over the top of the ribs.
Cover tightly with foil and bake for 90 minutes.
