Vaudeville Mews hosts Ken Stringfellow on February 8

Musician, songwriter, producer, and arranger Ken Stringfellow will stop in Des Moines on Friday, February 8 for a performance at Vaudeville Mews (212 Fourth Street). Opening for Stringfellow will be Des Moines artists Gloom Balloon, Jordan Mayland, and Devin Frank. The doors at the Mews will open at 7:30 p.m., and the music will kick off at 8 p.m. Tickets for the show are $8 in advance, and $10 at the door. They may be purchased online through Tikly. This show will be a 21-and-over event.

Alt-rocker Ken Stringfellow got his start in the late 80's and has played a part in the making of a lot of music over the years. Stringfellow has played or recorded with R.E.M., The Posies, Big Star, The Disciplines, Neil Young, Snow Patrol, Mudhoney, Sky Cries Mary, Afghan Whigs, and several others. He has also recorded a number of solo albums, the most recent of which, Danzig in the Moonlight, came out last year. Check out a single from the album, "Superwise", in the nearby video box.
