‘Vanquish’ joins the free game line-up available to PS Plus members (Photos)

The official Playstation Blog announced today that after tomorrow’s Playstation Network update, “Vanquish” will be made available as a free full-game download to all active Playstation Plus subscribers. The game is set in a future where resources on earth are running low and we are once again at war with Russia. “Vanquish” is developed by Platinum Games, the developers of the upcoming “Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance” game which releases later this week.

The sci-fi shooter is the latest free game offered to Playstation Plus members. The Playstation Blog is claiming that its availability is due to a celebration of the “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance” release as both games were created by the same developer.

All Playstation Plus subscribers can find “Vanquish” listed among their free game download content after the PSN update this Tuesday. Platinum Games other release, “Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance” is releasing for the first time, on the same day.
