The VanDusen Botanical Garden is the place to be tomorrow, as the Vancouver All British Field Meet Car Show returns to the lavish setting.
If you have a passion for classic British-built cars and motorcycles, then you must make an effort to attend the annual event as there will be as many as 500 vehicles on display among the beautiful flower beds, lush trees, and manicured lawns.
The event is advertised as the largest of its kind in Western Canada, with crowd counts as large as 6,000 people attending in past years.
The focus is on British-built cars—from miniscule Minis to opulent Rolls-Royces, nimble sports and GT cars, and modified race cars and motorcycles. In all, cars and bikes will be displayed in 61 separate classes in the beautiful garden location.
“Featured marque displays and awards create a wonderful opportunity to recognize owners and broaden awareness of deserving manufacturers,” said event co-chair Patrick Stewart. “This much-anticipated annual feature provides the perfect excuse for owners and club members to combine their knowledge and enthusiasm and celebrate their favourite classic cars and motorcycles."
"I am pleased to announce that Jensen Motors, Sunbeam Tiger and Velocette motorcycles have been selected as the Featured Marques for the 2014 event.”
And it's not all about the cars, as there will also be a selection of vendors and art displays on site vying for your attention.
The VanDusen Botanical Garden is located at 5251 Oak Street in Vancouver. The show runs from 10:00AM to 4:00PM rain or shine.
