'Vanderpump Rules' star Kristen Doute explains her black eye

Kristen Doute caused quite the stir on social media recently after posting a message about a black eye. After revealing her injury, several tabloids began claiming Doute was involved in a cast dispute, much like what went down between her and Stassi Schroeder last year. However, the "Vanderpump Rules" star insists there was no cast fight.

On Tuesday, Aug. 19, Doute tweeted, "I am on a cooking kick because my left eyelid is still black and swollen and I refuse to go out in public. You win some, you lose some."

Although the tweet may not have meant much in and of itself, the fact that it came around the time of a SUR Lounge party seemed to hint at cast drama. Last week, the "Vanderpump Rules" season three finale filmed in Los Angeles, but luckily, Doute's injuries weren't the result of the bash.

"I fell on my face. There might have been vodka involved. and wine. and champs. not even a good story," Doute later explained. Then, after the rumors continued, Doute returned to social media, telling fans, "Oh god these dot com tabloids and their bullsh*t stories. My black eye is a result of friday night's outings, not the sur party."

"Vanderpump Rules" season three began filming earlier this year after a stellar second season. Throughout season two, ratings on the spinoff series were good that the cast actually surpassed those of its predecessor, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," which was in its fourth season, at the time.

While the cast of "Vanderpump Rules" season three has yet to officially be announced, it seems pretty clear on Twitter that the original stars of the show, including Scheana Marie, Jax Taylor, Katie Maloney and Stassi Schroeder, will all return. Following season two, Schroeder moved to New York City with her boyfriend and hinted that she wouldn't return to the series. However, months later, she returned to Los Angeles, with her boyfriend, Patrick Meager, in tow.

"Vanderpump Rules" season three returns to Bravo this fall. No premiere date has yet been set.
