Hello everyone- have exciting news- Mary Bell from Center Stage Figure will be auctioning off some of my suits (almost all are new) & donated suits (some are hers) at great starting prices. We are looking for customers to donate their suits (they do not have to be made from me) for this great cause- 100% goes to FIDO dog rescue- a rescue I donate a lot of time to. I know a lot of you are pet owners & lovers. You will be given a tax receipt -payment to be made to "Fido”. Vandella Costumes has been working closely with FIDO dog rescue which operates in the midlands of South Carolina. Vandella Costumes, a leading bikini company in the fitness industry, has supported FIDO by fostering dogs and finding them forever homes to decrease the epidemic of homelessness.
FIDO's active role in prevention
Animals not fostered, but under the care of FIDO are provided with food, heart worm, tick and flea preventatives. The dogs must be examined and evaluated by a veterinarian and FIDO before they are placed in a foster or forever home. FIDO is also active in spaying and neutering dogs to reduce the amount of homeless dogs. FIDO does not have a “physical” shelter, but has been helping homeless dogs since 1974.
Dog abuse in South Carolina
In South Carolina, there were 24 reported cases of dog abuse ranging from hangings to beatings to abandonment in 2010. Although some of the owners were convicted of animal cruelty, there are several cases still open, while some abuse cases are alleged. It is dogs like these that are being helped by FIDO.
Anyone can help FIDO
As a way to help homelsss dogs in the midlands area Vandella Costumes and Mary Bell will donate 100% of the auction proceeds to FIDO dog rescue. Although the majority of bikinis donated are from Vandella Costumes, anyone who would like to donate their bikini is welcome to.
