On Monday, former green jobs czar Van Jones compared President Obama's inaugural speech to Quentin Tarantino's bloody movie "Django Unchained" in a tweet described by Twitchy as "borderline racist."
"Two-word description of the Inaugural Address: 'Djobama Unleashed,'" he tweeted.
"How nice to know that one of the Left’s leading lights finds parallels between the president’s speech and a revenge-fueled race war vigilante with a taste for (sometimes nausea-inducing) grotesque violence," Twitchy added in response.
Twitchy noted that it's hard to see any situation in which any comparison of the two would be appropriate, and expressed hope that Obama does not share those views, drawing more inspiration from "Lincoln" than "Django Unchained," a film described as the season's bloodiest movie by the New York Daily News.
As we reported in early January, a number of people who saw "Django Unchained" expressed a desire to kill white people in violent, racist tweets.
"After watching Django, all I wanna do is shoot white people," one person tweeted.
It's possible that Jones simply wanted to rattle cages, but Jones has a long history of controversial comments.
The former Obama adviser who once admitted being a communist, issued a tweet earlier in the week, for example, falsely claiming that members of the NRA want to shoot police and soldiers.
"Does #NRA think US Const protects 'right' 2 shoot USA cops & soldiers? Keep saying folks need big guns 2 fight our govt. Um... #Treason? (sic)" he tweeted.
"Your Maoist group was pro-killing cops & soldiers & you LUV cop killers like Mumia, don't you?" one person said in response.
