Van Halen Hitting The Studio With John Shanks

Legendary producer John Shanks, known for his work with artist such as Bon Jovi, Fleetwood Mac and Rod Stewart, has announced via Twitter that he is hitting the studio with Van Halen. This will mark the first studio album for Van Halen since the Gary Cherone fronted “Van Halen III” released in 1998.

Recording duties will supposedly be split between Shank’s Henson studio and Van Halen’s 5150 studio, marking the first Van Halen album not recorded in its entirety at 5150 since 1983. According to unofficial Van Halen site Van Halen News Desk, the three Van Halens (Eddie, Alex and Wolfgang) have been laying down some tracks at 5150 and sending them off to David Lee Roth to write the lyrics.

Still not officially announced by Van Halen, this news is purely based on the statement made by John Shanks. Further news about the upcoming album and its legitimacy will be made known as soon as available.
