Van Halen embarks on 2012 Tour featuring the reunion of David Lee Roth.
What many thought was impossible is now reality. They even kissed and made up! During their press conference Eddie Van Halen is seen kissing Diamond Dave on the cheek to make their rekindled love for the band. David said that "this is not a reunion, this is a new band" as he wanted to emphasis the commitment from everyone to produce the highest quality work ever.
Not the old line up.
Three of the original four are united for this tour. Bassist Michael Anthony was not called up to re-join the cast. Eddie's son Wolfgang will perform bass and provide back up vocals. At the age of 15, this has got to be an experience for him. Michael is busy working with the former front man for Van Halen - Sammy Hager. Chickenfoot is Sammy's new band featuring Michael along with Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chili Pepper's drummer Chad Smith. Michale has spoken about the new Van Halen line up, and so far has been positive. He seems very happy with Chickenfoot and his current cast of musicians.
New "Tattoo"
In conjunction with the tour we are promised a new album. the first release is titled " Tattoo". Van Halen also produced a video for this tune:

Looks like the boys still have it!
Diamond Dave is up to his old trick and stage theatrics. Eddie and Alex are bringing their A Game and sure looks like Wolfgang is a good fit. What else od you expect growing up as Eddie Van Halen's son?
