The heritage exhibition closes on February 15, 2014, but there’s still time to view the watches, jewelry, and gemstone accessories that span 100 years of the famous Maison.
What’s the Maison? It’s the company that started after the meeting and marriage of Estelle Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef in 1895. Estelle was the daughter of a gemstone dealer, and Alfred was the son of a stone cutter. It was the marriage that made a company based on love for each other and a shared passion for precious gems.
The exhibition spans 100 years of the Maison’s history and exhibits more than 200 extraordinary pieces from Van Cleef & Arpels private collections. Visitors will see designs inspired by the four recurring themes of Nature, Elegance, Exoticism, and Femininity.
"A Quest for Beauty: The Art of Van Cleef & Arpels" exhibits the craftsmanship of the iconic Maison and the iconic women who wore its designs.
