Vampire Weekend announce third studio album details and spring 2013 tour dates

On Feb. 4 the American indie rock band Vampire Weekend announced headlining tour dates for the spring of 2013 in support of their upcoming album, "Modern Vampires of the City". The tour begins in Las Vegas on April 12 and ends in Portland, Ore. on May 23. You can view a complete list of tour dates below.

Vampire Weekend's upcoming third studio album, "Modern Vampires of the City" is set to be released on May 7 via XL Recordings. On Feb. 4 the band revealed the official album artwork, and the album track list.

It will be the band's first full length studio album released since "Contra" in 2010. During Vampire Weekend's upcoming spring 2013 tour the band will perform 12 headlining shows and perform twice at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festvial.

Pre-sale tickets for Vampire Weekend's upcoming spring 2013 headlining tour go on sale beginning Feb. 6. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Feb. 8. For more information about the tour visit the band's official website here.
