Things have been tense between Elena (Nina Dobrev) and her former love Stefan (Paul Wesley) this season on “The Vampire Diaries.” But it looks like things might be turning around for the duo.
On Monday, The CW released a new clip from the upcoming episode, “Down the Rabbit Hole.” In the video, as Rebekah (Claire Holt) tries to get cell phone reception on the island, Stefan and Elena talk about the cure for vampirism that they’re trying to find and Elena feels guilty for putting everyone in danger.
Stefan is quick to point out that everyone is there because they want to be there and he talks about his own desires to be human again. Elena is surprised that he never mentioned it and he reminds her that he’s experienced ever side of being a vampire. Stefan explains to his ex-girlfriend just how much being normal means to him.
Check out the video to see the two let go of some of the animosity that they’ve been holding onto. But what does this rekindled friendship mean for Stefan and Rebekah?
“The Vampire Diaries” airs Thursday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. CST on The CW.
