Vampire Diaries: the death of Vicky

Kayla Ewell, as Vicky, on Vampire Diaries.

For those of you who read my earlier article reviewing the new show ‘Vampire Diaries’, you already know that it is a sizzling hot new show. Although I do not recommend watching it with the kids, I do see, however, quite a redeeming character in Stefan. Last night’s episode was filled with thought provoking choices we all have to make.  As Stefan said, “It’s wrong to prey on innocent people” and “We choose our own path. Our values and our actions, they define who we are”.  The struggles between good and evil continue but rising popular star, Vicky, apparently will not. Click here to read Kevin Williamson’s interview. Evidently they have other plans for the character Jeremy. They didn’t want to have another human/vampire love story.

I agree with you that it is not for the young kids, ie.,under 10 perhaps? Overall I think it's doing pretty good in getting across some important messages such as the ones that you mentioned in your article. I love that Damon is showing a gentler side, he is super irresistable this way! Thx for sharing!
