April 21, 2011 - Paul Wesley, who plays hunky vampire Stefan Salvatore on the CW hit The Vampire Diaries, was named InStyle's magazine's Man of Style on the May 2011 issue.
With this hip new title, Paul also got a hot spread in the magazine as well as an interview to go alongside of it. In the article, he talks about his first primetime television leading gig among a few other things.
'Vampire Diaries' producer says many 'things are changing' in season 3
When asked about the look of today's vampires, Paul answered that they remind him of 1950's rebel youths, "but highly stylized," instead.
"It's amazing how vampires have grown into this trendy fashion thing," he added.
Paul also mentioned how "creepy and repulsive" looking vampires used to be, referring to old time movies such as the one he just watched called Nosferatu.

Among the other subjects covered was the issue of his "vampire" hair, to which he simply said that, "I take a bunch of product, spike my hair a little, and that's it."
InStyle also got to ask a couple of his co-stars, past and present, what they thought of working with him, and they had nothing but nice things to say.

Perhaps the most telling comment was from current fellow cast member, Nina Dobrev, who said, "Paul is very intense, but has a surprising sense of humor. He can change the mood of a room."
